Collection: Wooden Newell & balluster posts for stairs and balustrades

Or range of unfinished wooden newel posts are ideal as a large post at the bottom and sometimes the top of a staircase that supports the handrailing. They connect the underside of the handrailing to the floor. Newel posts are used to support the hand railing on a staircase. They can be found at the top, bottom, and at the landings of a staircase.

Newel post are larger, load-bearing structures intended to support the handrailing of a staircase. Balusters are thinner railings between the newel posts used for safety. They are intended to prevent people from falling through the railing.
